Why winter
The coast, without the crowds
The Algarve is known for its mild winters — average highs of around 16–19 °C through the season — and out of season Praia da Luz returns to its own rhythm. The beach is wide and empty enough for long morning walks, cafés on the promenade keep a table in the sun, and the village restaurants are full of residents rather than queues.
It's the season for doing things the summer heat makes hard: walking the cliffs, playing golf all day, exploring Lagos and the coast towards Sagres at an easy pace.

For arrivals from November to March we take money off longer stays — the longer you stay, the more you save.
Discounts apply to the nightly rate for arrivals between 1 November and 31 March and are confirmed in your quote. Not combinable with other offers. A 50% deposit secures your booking, with free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Stays of more than one month require a refundable damage deposit to cover any damage during your stay; the amount and terms are confirmed in your quote.
Winter weather
Mild days, cool evenings
Winters on the western Algarve are mild. From November to March average afternoon highs sit between about 16 °C and 19 °C, frost is almost unknown (recorded on average less than one day a year), and most days of each month see no measurable rain.
Pack layers: light enough for lunch outside in the sun, warm enough for a breezy clifftop walk and the cooler evenings.

Winter days out from the apartment
Clifftop walking
Climb Rocha Negra above the beach for views along the coast, or follow the clifftop paths west towards Burgau.
Golf
Boavista Golf is about 4 km away, with more courses within easy reach along the western Algarve.
Lagos
Old-town streets, the marina and Ponta da Piedade's sea arches, about 7 km away.
Village life
Morning coffee on the promenade, the local supermarkets five minutes away, and long lunches by the sea.
A comfortable winter base
Room to settle in
For longer stays the apartment works as a proper home: a full kitchen with oven, hob and dishwasher, a washing machine, Wi-Fi for working remotely, a smart TV and two comfortable sofas. From winter 2027–28, planned reverse-cycle air conditioning will keep the apartment warm on cooler evenings. The top-floor living room and balcony make the most of the low winter sun.
