The apartment
Light, space and a view of the sea
Apartment 521 sits on the top floor of the St James resort, so the living room and balcony catch the light and look over the rooftops to the Atlantic. Inside there is room to spread out: two sofas, a solid dining table, a fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a twin room and two bathrooms.
Mornings start with coffee on the balcony; afternoons by the resort pool or on the beach below; evenings at one of the village's restaurants, all within walking distance.

A king-size master and a twin room
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom two single beds, both made up with quality bedding, with bedside lamps and wardrobe space; one bedroom opens onto the balcony. There are two bathrooms — one with a bath, one with a walk-in shower — so mornings never queue.
Ideal for couples travelling together, families, golfers sharing, or anyone wanting a comfortable base for a longer stay.

Average daytime highs of around 16–19 °C from November to March. When the summer crowds go home, Luz becomes a village again: quiet beaches, clifftop walks in clear light, golf without the queues and long lunches in the sun. We welcome longer stays through the winter months, with up to 25% off stays of four weeks or more.

How far is the beach?
Praia da Luz beach is roughly 600 metres from the apartment — about a nine-minute walk downhill into the village.
How many people does the apartment sleep?
Up to four guests: a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a twin room with two single beds. There are two bathrooms: one with a bath and one with a shower.
Is there a lift and parking?
Yes. A lift serves the top floor, and there is free parking on site.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. Keys are collected from a secure key safe, so late arrivals are no problem — just let us know your expected arrival time.
Can we use the pools?
Yes. Your stay includes use of the St James resort pools, with changing rooms, showers and free sunloungers.

Do you offer longer winter stays?
Yes. For arrivals from November to March we offer long-stay savings: 10% off 7+ nights, 15% off 14+ nights, 25% off 28+ nights. Tell us your dates and we'll send a quote with the saving applied.
Is there air conditioning or heating?
Reverse-cycle air conditioning, which both cools and heats, is planned for installation by late spring 2027 — cool in summer and warm through winter 2027–28 onwards. Stays before then are without air conditioning.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Once we've confirmed your dates and price, a 50% deposit secures the booking. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before arrival. Payment details and the full terms, including when the balance is due, are set out in your booking confirmation.
Is there a damage deposit?
For stays of more than one month, yes: a refundable damage deposit is required to cover any damage during your stay, in addition to the 50% booking deposit. The amount and terms are confirmed in your quote. Shorter stays do not need a damage deposit.
Is the apartment suitable for smokers or pets?
It is a non-smoking apartment; smoking is permitted outside on the balcony only. Pets are not allowed.
